I actually became too warm and had to turn the fireplace down to the low setting, which also provided adequate heat. Prior to this, this particular floor of our home was absolutely frigid and I cannot believe how cozy and warm it now is with this fireplace! The fireplace is also rather stylish. We bought it in black and it goes very well with our new furniture which is described as "new country/vintage". It is made almost entirely of plastic but you really cannot tell unless you are up close inspecting/touching the product.
